Gila Vista uses the traditional style bell schedule. We have six class periods with one lunch hour. The lunch hour (4th Period) varies and we split it into two parts - one for homeroom and the other for eating. We operate on a "Tumble Schedule." Each day begins with a different period. This schedule gives teachers and students a chance to work with each other during different times of the day. The number of the "day" reflects the class that begins that day. Please view the tumble schedule complete with bell times. Gila Vista actually makes use of three separate schedules: one regular, one for use on Mondays, and one for assemblies. Passing periods are four minutes long, and we release students at 1:49 p.m. on Mondays. ![]()

![]() We determine the Assembly Schedule by the start/stop time of the assembly. School begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 3:19 p.m. (unless the assembly is on a Monday), but we base the actual start and end times of individual classes and lunches on the start and length of the assembly. |
